Shine Drop-ins
Mondays, 10:30-12pm, Baptist Church, (Coxwell Room), Chesterton Lane, GL7 1YE
A supportive space to chat and connect with other mums, with no fear of judgement for being open and honest about your feelings, thoughts and experiences. Every week, we will feature a craft activity for both little ones and adults, a warm drink, a chance for yourself to have breakfast along with snacks for the children, which will be served halfway through the drop-in. We have lots of toys and books for the little ones, as well as helpful resources for mums that you can borrow and return after reading. If you are coming for the first time and have any questions please contact Harpreet or Bethany, as we know going to a new group can feel daunting.
(Runs all year round, drop-in sessions, £2.50 suggested voluntary donation, all mums welcome)

Lauraine Cheesman
Founder & Cirencester Lead
Lauraine founded Shine after experiencing extreme postnatal depression following the birth of her daughter. She deals with all fundraising and continues to run the courses in Cirencester. “I fought PND like a warrior,” she says. “Now, I have grabbed that positivity and poured it into Shine. I want to give mums real support that makes a difference.”
Harpreet Snowden
Cirencester Drop-In Lead
I am a mother to my 16-month-old son, Rohan. After his birth, I experienced significant postpartum depression and anxiety. Fortunately, Shine came to my rescue, helping me connect with other mothers facing similar challenges. I am deeply passionate about supporting fellow moms, particularly through art therapy and crafts.
Bethany Davis
Drop-In Play Facilitator
I am a proud mother to Oscar and Florence. I have faced various mental health challenges, including postnatal depression. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found the support and guidance from Shine. The workshops and drop-ins offered a judgment-free environment that was so comforting, and I looked forward to them every week. I now feel privileged to be a part of leading Cirencester Drop-In.
“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.”
